Crazily shopping!!!!!

Hmm, after not blogging for almost 8 months, that is a semester 1 there…. It flew by so quickly, now is into the 3rd week of the holidays and I have been shopping online for blouses, jeans, cosmetics and DVDs!!!!

I so need to stop it!!! I am going broke!

I also need to stop watching ANIME!!!! also Ayah, why you buy for me gundam wing box set?

BTW I am still waiting for my parcels to arrive from 2 ebay sellers and from smoochiee.

I have to start reading up for my FYP2 tonight. Anemia and Leukimia – tests performed to detect theses conditions, Blood Film Staining and the machine beckman coulter(compare with cell dyn 3 700).

I need to write my Log book for past 3 entries(why am I more slack than in previous fyp?) I need to write Feedback form for my supervisor with regards to our external attachment site.

Okay, like most of my friends and family members know, I’m currently on attachment during my holidays now =)

Of course its fun and tiring … especially when I have to commute to and from workplace at Biopolis (Buona Vista) and Home(Jurong West) Boy, It’s just like school but with longer hours =)

Unlike School which have lots of toilets with up to 10 cubilcles max per toilet, there is only 2 toilet, 1 male and 1 female.

When the designated toilet is occupied, we use the opposite sex toilet. Muahahha

Okay, so attachment, Learned a lot of things like operate the machines, understanding the system used. In school, we use leo with our folders and stuff, in workplace, all our stuff done are logged onto LIMS. Cool or what?! Can’t discuss work related stuff here as we have signed a Confidentiality Form =) but there are photos which are allowed. It’s on FB and I don’t think that You’ll need an account to view them. My colleagues from schools are Su Li(my W55A classmate), Siyu a.k.a Tracy ( a year 2 biomed student w/o DNA) and Nurulain(a year 3 biomed student).

Of all the things in the lab, I love the Nitrogen tanks, -80 degrees celsius freezers and the Bio EZ Machine(Love THIS!)

Bio EZ can extract DNA from a sample less than 2 ml using magnetic extraction. During DNA lesson, there are many ways to extract DNA and they are reagent, mechanical or magnetic extraction =-D

I have written RJ for Past week attachment. Of all the Days, today is most tedious as we had to pack kits to collect samples from Pregnant MOM and baby(when they are born) and Daddy… So we have only completed kit for DAD… haish… MOM kit is very tedious and complicated… we spent like 2 hours sorting bags and labels for the bags whereas the other 2 label the tubes and vials.

I have fallen in love with the lyrics meanings!!!

For the first time in my life(for as way back as I can remember) I had fever of 40 degrees Celsius… boy was I suffering!

On that day, 24 August, I know I wasn’t feeling well at all… but I dare not take my temperature…so I was moaning(in front of Deva) and sniffling+ blowing my nose on wads of tissue paper.. I think I used a total of 2+3+1+2+2+1+2=13 packs of tissue papers!!!
Throughout DNA UT and A&P UT, in between typing,I blew my nose and I kept burping…

Then when I was on the train back to Jurong east with Shikin, I slept through out. Took bus home from Boon Lay. I alight at the bus stop near Nanyang central. Went to the doctor and while waiting for him to arrive for evening clinic, I fell asleep again…

When I went in to see him, he took my temperature. before the thermometer beeped, he took it out. and my temp was 40 degrees Celsius!!! I was just kidding while walking to causeway from school about enzymes denaturing at 40 degrees.

BTW, I dream about enzymes, inhibitors, urea cycle, gluconeogenesis et cetera while sleeping. I think I only woke up to pee, drink water and eat medicines.

The only thing that I could keep down in my tummy was 3 butter cookies for diabetics. so all the things that I ate on the 25th was tau huay (which I puked out not 5 minutes after I finished), a total of 9 cookies, 4 spoons of rice with egg sambal (This was dinner time… I puked it out too…Don’t even mention porridge to me)

After LOTS of Sleeping and showers and Lots of water, I am able to face my laptop today without getting giddy after 2 mins.

Just collected them. The guy said ” with the 6 month supply, u get an extra pair. “

When I reached home to put them on, I open the “free pair” Right Side. While fumbling to put the right side on, I dropped it… found them then went to mom’s room… I tried again… this time round, when I dropped it, I went MIA!!! Might be somewhere in mom’s handbag…. haish… when I told bro, He said… “probably that’s why they give u a free pair..”

LIKE LOL!

I then went on to put on the left side. I realise it’s easier to put on left than right but I’m a right hander!!!!

Now wearing them… Trying to let it stay in for 4 hours

Right side very comfy… left side, not comfy at all!!! Maybe left side is inverted…lol… went to here

BTW the optician didn’t teach me cos I told them I know how to put them on.. lol! I dun want to fumble around… That’s just me… I know theory and I wanna try practical on my own…

#2 HVB &/ HVA Immunisation (I thought $300 but Total $45 + $96 + consultation fee = $141 +Consultation fee)
Taken first dose on Saturday 22 August … Paid $245.80 for TWINRIX 2 in 1 HBV HAV inactive
#3 Camera (Bro paid half cost)
#4 Contact Lenses (Ordered a 6 month period monthly contacts for $100)
#5 Blazer (Got it for $26.90)
#6 Smart Pants (Got it for $12)
#7 Skirts (Bought 2. $16.90 each)
#8 A pair of ladies shoes ($30 budget for heels I guess, Gotten2 pairs without heels total $ 31.90. Dad bought a pair of heels for me $30 =])
#9 Make baju Raya (Ahh… my $90 goes to tailoring *cry* haha….)
#10 A pair of sneakers (Maybe get Ayah to sponsor this…He did!!!$20)
#11 Contact Lense Solution (3 big bottles+2 travel bottles + 2 casings = $23.50)
#12 Black long sleeve (got it for $12+ just like at john little *haish.. the sales assistant at that shop was very persuasive but I’m glad that I got the blazer there *smiles*)

MUST STOP Shopping after getting shoes or I’ve no cash for birthday outings and outings!!!!

[Note to self: Feeling very giving the last couple of weeks...must curb feeling... or I'll end up with no cash on hand like the morning after I give freely to handicapped baskers that I saw]
